Bringing data home.
People often take part in data collection efforts by completing surveys, participating in interviews, and sharing their experiences, but they rarely get to see the findings or help make sense of what they mean. We believe sharing data back is an essential part of the evaluation process.
The Data Party Box puts data back into the hands of communities, helping grantees, program participants, and community members engage with data in clear, accessible ways, make sense of what they’re seeing, brainstorm solutions, and plan for action. This creates space for the people connected to the work to help shape what happens next and ensure their experiences and perspectives are reflected moving forward.
Building The Joel Fund’s Data Party Box
The Joel Fund wanted veterans and community partners to help them make sense of the data, and help shape what comes next.
