The Joel Fund
Overview
The Joel Fund aims to reconnect veterans to life at home. They use the power of community to engage, educate, and encourage veterans and their families.
They do this through through programs focused on community and resiliency, including offering community-focused art classes to support the emotional wellbeing of veterans, creating warm referrals between veterans and resources throughout North Carolina, and building stability in the lives of veterans and their families after experiencing homelessness or crisis.
Brooke Dickhart, Executive Director —
“[They’ve been] helping us gather relevant data… I loved that they could take our existing survey, talk to us about what in that was most important to us, and then figure out how to ask those questions in a meaningful way.”
